Support to FamiliesStudent receiving an exam at a Low Vision Clinic

The Kentucky School for the Blind Charitable Foundation has supported parents of visually impaired students by affording them the opportunity to participate in special workshops regarding their child’s disability and through funding the statewide publication of a newsletter for Kentucky parents of blind children. KSBCF has also assisted Kentucky families with expenses to be able to attend the National Family Conference held in various locations across the U.S. The foundation supports participation in the conference which provides the opportunity for networking, sharing and learning from other families concerned with issues related to blindness.

Career Visions, a job-placement agency specifically for individuals with disabilities, has been the recipient of KSBCF funding to train clients for the workplace.
