Our Mission
The Kentucky School for the Blind is a nonprofit organization established in 1984. Our mission is to make a difference in the education, independence, and quality of life for students and individuals who are blind or visually impaired in the state of Kentucky.
What We Do
We work toward achieving our mission by funding grants, awarding scholarships, and providing access to assistive technologies and other supportive initiatives. These efforts enable students who are visually impaired to develop the skills needed for independent, productive, and successful lives.
Our primary focus is on distributing funds to support the Kentucky School for the Blind and its statewide outreach services, which serve students and their families across Kentucky’s 176 school districts. Additionally, we offer grant funding to agencies and activities that align with our mission.
