About Us

Founded in 1984, the Kentucky School for the Blind Charitable Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving students in Kentucky who are blind or visually impaired. Since the organization’s conception, the Kentucky School for the Blind Charitable Foundation works to level the playing field for those who are blind or visually impaired, at every stage of their development. When students who are blind or visually impaired receive proper instruction and appropriate educational and daily living tools at an early age, they have the same opportunities as their sighted peers to become literate, discover their strengths and interests, and reach their full potential as contributing members of society.
